What's your favorite California spot to get away to? I used to love Patrick's Point State Park up near Trinidad, but it got progressively more trampled as the years went on. *sad*

    Big Bend hot springs in SE Shasta County. They have two man made tubs by the river, and natural pools an arms length away from the river. And the stars at night...

      When I was little we used to go to Shasta to camp. I have a bunch of pictures at about age 5 from one hiking trip. It's beautiful there! How developed is Big Bend? Is it possible to be there without being crowded?

        Its pretty much a campground with hot pools. It can get a bit more crowed on the holidays, but last year not busy at all. I have no idea what is going on there now.... the number is 530 337-6606
        I5 to Redding, 299 east towards Alturas, Big Bend Rd is between town of Montgomery Creek and Burney Falls.
